A relaxing massage will relieve stress and muscle tension and leave you with a sense of wellbeing.
This type of massage stimulates your circulation so oxygen travels more freely through your organs aiding lymphatic drainage and eliminating toxins, leaving you feeling refreshed with a sense of calmness. Relaxing massage also boosts the immune system by reducing stress hormones and lowering blood pressure, in turn allowing the body to better fight off disease and infection.
Please note - this massage is not for pain relief and does not include deep tissue / work on trigger points etc. If you are booking a massage for pain relief, please choose the Pain Relieving Massage

Pain Relieving Massage
A pain relieving massage is used to alleviate specific pain through isolated pressure and release. When muscles have been under stress for a period of time, they can bunch up in painful ‘knots’.
The therapist will ask you about the pain you are experiencing and use targeted techniques to relieve that pain, applying moderate to hard pressure to the relevant areas (not always the same area that the pain is felt). This type of massage can cause some discomfort during the massage and some soreness after, but usually leads to great relief of pain, sometimes immediately.
In addition to releasing muscular tension, this type of massage stimulates circulation, allowing oxygenated blood to reach the cells and remove waste products caused by injury, speeding recovery.
This type of massage is good for muscular tension caused by sports, work and postural problems. It can help relieve long-term problems and stop recent problems from becoming chronic. Often more than one session is recommended as the tension may need to be dealt with in stages.

Myofascial Trigger Point Massage with Stretching
A form of deep tissue massage.
Muscles harbouring trigger points may be too painful to stretch fully. The pain (and subsequent inhibitory reflex) will prevent you from sufficiently lengthening the muscle band.
What's more, forcing a stretch will often result in injury (muscle strain) and do nothing to resolve the trigger point.
The objective of trigger point therapy is softening and releasing a muscle knots to reduce or eliminate the knot pain and associated pain.
This release is achieved by applying varying levels of pressure to muscle knots, and then stretching the affected areas through a complete range of motion.
The therapist will manually move your limbs, applying gentle stretches to restore mobility.
This type of massage is particularly well suited to those who have developed chronic pain from long hours of sitting at a desk and are not stretching regularly.
